Expert teacher Amanda Quaid begins with the fundamentals of speech, including vowels, diphthongs, and various types of consonants. Then, we explore how Shakespeare makes use of assonance, alliteration, and onomatopoeia to involve both actor and audience on a visceral level. In her private practice, The Talk Shop, her clients include award-winning stage and film actors, supermodels, comedians, singers, media personalities, corporate executives, and children. Her holistic approach to the particular acting challenges that arise when working on a character is an area of specialty in her teaching.
