Literary Agent Submissions
Red Bull Theater is interested in new full-length plays and adaptations that relate to our mission. We are accepting submissions of new, full-length plays that align with our mission from literary agents only. We are unable to accept unsolicited manuscripts. Due to the number of submissions we receive, it can take more than six months for your work to be read. We will contact you only if we are interested in pursuing your submission further.
Due to the specific nature of our mission, please review our history before submitting through your agent. We accept submissions year-round from literary agents only. (The current only exception to this is our annual open-submission short new play festival.) Along with your letter of inquiry, please send your bio or resume, a synopsis of your play with character breakdown, and the play's production or development history.
Please DO NOT MAIL submissions. We are unable to return manuscripts.
Red Bull Theater holds annual EPA’s at Actor's Equity, and works with casting directors Stuart Howard, Pat McCorkle, and Jack Doulin. Please watch for breakdowns and postings about opportunities. We also offer, when possible, scheduled general auditions. Please submit your picture and résumé to us for consideration at:
Red Bull Theater

Please do not email unsolicited headshots or résumés.
Job opportunities are posted at Playbill.com.
INTERNSHIPS & APPRENTICESHIPS
As part of our commitment to developing the next generation of classical theater professionals, we engage students and early-career theater artists in our Apprentice/Internship program. This hands-on program collaborates with Red Bull Theater artists to provide an immersive experience in producing classical plays for today’s audiences. Red Bull Theater apprentices and interns are paired with a staff member who mentors their assignment and provides guidance and supervision. Candidates must be self-motivated, eager to learn, willing to assist, and able to work independently. Students are eligible for college credit, based upon the guidelines of their college or university, with flexibility to accommodate each institution’s specific requirements. To apply, please send a letter specifically outlining your interest, three references, and current resume' to firstname.lastname@example.org. PDF's only, please.
If you have other questions not covered on our web-site, please feel free to write email@example.com.
